What is the lyricism of light?
It is a sutra of love through the heart; a song of surrender that every atom of creation sings; a Buddha of the shining mind. What company we keep will be judged. Stay close to the lovers. Keep close to the open-hearted. Poetry wears our truth like rags but it forms our real being. The earth feeds us from its green heart. We survive the beauty. We die wanting it. Poems break open the earth of us and make room for our souls. What we open in this world flowers in heaven. If we blink once all the angels fly away. But if we blink twice we will see that the universe has come back as our poem. There is a music we can never sing without being the throat of a great surrender. Our death song is our life song. What we give away always comes back original and deathless-- the lyricism of our shining light.
