Who is it that echoes

by Devara Dasimayya
(10th Century) Timeline

English version by
A. K. Ramanujan

Original Language
Kannada

Yoga / Hindu : Shaivite (Shiva)
10th Century

When, to the hungerless figure,
you serve waters of no thirst,
whisper the senseless word
in the heart,
and call without a name,

who is it that echoes O!
in answer,
O Ramanatha,

is it you,
or is it me?
