come noon sun spreads
On liquid lake
moving mercury musing
Settled rocks
Receive thrust
Of falling water
Trees spike on
Loamy land
Pine needles stacked beneath
Autumn in full bloom
Marsh hold footprints
Covered in
Its chrome blanket
I know you have been here

Morning Mortar,
Thank you, sl, for this prophetic blessing.
That's exactly what we'll be doing in the morning,
mixing mortar and fixing damage
from the hundred year storm.
I'll share this with the mason before the workday begins.
No doubt, he will appreciate your metaphors,
especially the gravel path at peace
and because the Land of the Rising Sun is in the East.

Indeed. Shangri-La is but a breath away when the Silent Lotus is heard.
