Adi Atman,

2 AM
the witch's midnight

2 AM
and even crows sleep
in the black tree tops
even the crows sleep
from their gabling efforts
leading the dead to the dead

2 AM
and even cats sleep
wound warm
atop blackened television sets

2 AM
and the empty streets hum
beneath the full moon

Witch!
Enchanter!
it is 2 AM
and I cannot sleep
your spell keeps me
awake
