He Who splashed a thousand worlds with color

by Ayn al-Qozat Hamadani
(1098 - 1131) Timeline

English version by
Peter Lamborn Wilson and Nasrollah Pourjavady

Original Language
Persian/Farsi

Muslim / Sufi
12th Century

He Who splashed a thousand worlds with color
How can He buy the paint of "I and thou"?
Colors, colors -- nothing but whim and fantasy;
HE is colorless, and one must adopt His hue.
