Passion for the Sacred
Will grow wings on your back And open up the heavens Why bend your back ? Why practice your Kriyas ? Why bang out your mantra ? If your heart is not open . . . Nothing else matters If you are not passionate about the sacred Then . . . ASK . . . pilgrim . . . ask Get down on your knees And prey for the door to open Brothers . . . sisters; There is a Light Flooding down from Above Open your heart . . . and receive But, sweetheart, if your heart IS open Then you know That there is a swan living there Yearning to fly home . . . to God Set Her free; Let Her wings become your own She will enliven your practices She will show you the secret ways, no one else knows She is your Swan She is your Love She is your way Home Her beating heart . . . is the sound of your breath
