I will be Your pilot
I will be Your first seat Will operate this vehicle I will perceive for You But You, Beloved, Must navigate I will come on Your adventure Take a body and fall into the flesh I will dream the dream for You I will miss You in my bones But You, Beloved, Must navigate for us Don't let me forget Don't let me forget But sweetheart, Forgetting is the plan And I fell and fell and fell Until I forgot Now, I call out to You in pain Asking why You cast me out When the pain is too great . . . I die You send me back again When I cry out You whisper in my ear There is a better way, sweetheart. But I will not hear You For I will have suffered the forgetting When my bottom, built by suffering, fully forms I will have tired of this pain I will open to another way, not knowing what that is Though those still suffering will deny it I will roll my head back, looking up, To where I imagine You are And cry out . . . I surrender I will admit I have made a mess of it I will admit that I am lost in Your duality That I don't know how to behave in Your playground I will admit that I have listened to my mind Until bruised and battered You will whisper, so softly in my ear, Stay at the wheel, sweetheart, I will be your navigator You will take my hand in Yours And teach me to listen You will teach me to hear my own Heart You will show me how my negative focus Dragged me down How resistance Always failed me You will share Your secrets with me; The power of Awareness The wisdom of allowing The blessing of gratitude I will become skillful within the mind Creating consciously, effortlessly You will then lift my sights . . . beyond the mind Introduce me to silence And the awareness that lives there In the silence . . . I will finally meet You Invisible, beyond sense perception, Pure consciousness The ultimate perceiver The I am presence Not different than my own Self We will laugh together At this outrageous adventure Where what we were looking for Was who was looking You sought Yourself Outside of Yourself Not knowing That You were the treasure But now . . . I know That we are not two That it is You . . . that is looking out these eyes You that kisses with these lips Giving Yourself to the world . . . Which is also You Now I know That there is only God That there is only You And that everyone . . . and everything. . . is That
