Crown

On a mundane level, the crown represents rulership, rising to a level of control or mastery over the world around you. It is the highest point of the physical body, representing authority.

In mystical terms, the crown, from the top of the skull to deep within its base, is perceived as dilating, relaxing and opening up, and then it fills with light. There seems to be pouring in of divine light from above.

This is a key element of the sacred experience perceived by mystics and it is often referred to, directly or indirectly, in sacred poetry.
