Innocence is not naivete.
Naivete must be carefully removed.
Innocence is your true nature.

Well, that’s the real question, isn’t it? Where’s the dividing line between innocence and naivete?
Here’s how I answer that for myself: Naivete implies both vulnerability and ignorance. Innocence, on the other hand, is the state of simplicity, purity, truthfulness, contentment, self-acceptance. True innocence is a state of rest in the heart. It does not necessarily mean one is unworldly. It means you know yourself well and have stopped struggling to appear other than you simply and honestly are.
