She Comes

by Sabah Raphael Reed

Original Language English

She silently streams towards me,
slipping between bone and skin,
cracking me open.

She comes unbidden, unsought for and unbound.

She comes, the great Unraveller,
and in an instance
burns me
utterly
to the ground.
