The Lake Isle of Innisfree

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
\nAnd a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
\nNine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
\nAnd live alone in the bee-loud glade.<\/em><\/p>\n

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
\nDropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
\nThere midnight\u2019s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
\nAnd evening full of the linnet\u2019s wings.<\/p>\n

\nI hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
\nWhile I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,

I love the rhythms of this poem. To really appreciate it, you need to say it aloud and slowly. Let it roll off the tongue.<\/p>\n

Yeats paints with his words, running them together like brushstrokes in watercolor.<\/p>\n

\u2026the bee-loud glade.<\/i><\/p>\n


\n<\/i>\u2026And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, .<\/i><\/p>\n

In the beauty of this rustic scene, we discover stillness, something of the eternal in the sound of the water lapping at the shore and the mesmerizing hum of bees.<\/p>\n

Listening well, we discover the one who listens. We discover \u201cthe deep heart\u2019s core.\u201d<\/p>\n
