This poem grabbed my attention this morning, one of the most loved of e. e. cummings poems.<\/p>\n

It is a love poem, but its language somehow elevates us beyond romantic sentiment.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t say a lot today, just highlight a few of my favorite lines:<\/p>\n

and it\u2019s you are whatever a moon has always meant
\nand whatever a sun will always sing is you<\/p>\n

\u2026<\/p>\n

here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
\nand the sky of the sky of a tree called life<\/p>\n

\u2026<\/p>\n

and this is the wonder that\u2019s keeping the stars apart<\/p>\n

\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

and, most especially\u2013<\/p>\n

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)<\/i><\/p>\n

Oh, and have a beautiful full moon weekend. It feels like an intense moon so go gentle on yourself and others. And maybe we\u2019ll figure out \u201cwhatever a moon has always meant\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
