Janice Wilson was born in Ithaca, New York, and grew up in the Appalachian foothills in Caroline, New York. She has spent more than 30 years being a potter. She has raised two sons who are graduates of Cornell University.
Janice has been writing, mainly poetry for about 15 years.
In 1974, Janice Wilson received "the Knowledge of the self taught" by her "teacher, master, friend" Maharaji. She says, "This has opened my heart to the beautiful world within and I am very grateful to have been able to have spent most of my adult life as his student, enjoying this most precious gift a human being could receive: self-knowledge."
